Yesterday I went to a special lecture in the university museum. It. Was. Awesome. Its not a big place, but it was still nice to look around, I saw things I'd never seen before, like the mummy of a child, and, the curator took us all into a back room and let us TOUCH THINGS. *squee* I got to hold a near 2,000 year old Egyptian figure of Madonna and Child, with the headdress of Isis. I was very happy indeed. Apparently there's a course I can do in last year where you basically learn to be a curator, your entire grade is based on a project where you design an exhibit and writing an essay about the particulars of it. There's only 20 places in it, 16 can go to Anthropology students (which I am not), and I'm not even sure if it would even work with my course but it seems so cool! I'll have to keep an eye on it.
